Overhead Installation
Discover our step by step guide on overhead installation
You will be given an all-day appointment due to the nature of overhead works. Work can take anywhere from two hours to all day, depending on the size of your garden and complexity of the infrastructure.
Our engineer will use existing poles to connect your property via overhead cables. The cable will then be run down the wall of your property to a small grey Customer Splice Point box.
Step by step guide

Step one
Our skilled Engineer will locate your fibre on the pole.

Step two
The cable is brought to your property overhead, using a telehandler or a ladder.

Step three
A hook will be installed on the side of your property to hold the cable.

Step four
The fibre is then tacked down the wall neatly, to the entry point on the ground level.

Step five
The fibre is brought to a Customer Splice Point (CSP) - a grey box on the outside of your property.

Step six
A small hole is then drilled into the wall, connecting the fibre to the ONT - a white box on the inside wall.

Step seven
The engineer will then connect the ONT, to your hub and you’re ready to go!

Step eight
Finally, we carry out a speed test to make sure you are receiving brilliant ultrafast broadband.
