Ellis Campbell's search for better broadband
by Charlotte Absolom
Business Profile
Ellis Campbell are a private family office who specialise in owning and managing property since 1877. They have a historic portfolio of tenanted houses across a range of tenures including regulated tenancies and home reversions along with a mixed commercial investment portfolio.
Business Challenge
Their previous internet provider could only offer them a maximum download speed of 1Mbps on a shared broadband line. It was so slow that it was impossible to work effectively and efficiently.
There were times when team members even had to use their personal mobiles as hotspots as the speeds where so bad.
The Solution and Process
Other providers had no intention of upgrading the infrastructure, which is where Wessex Internet came in! They installed the ultrafast fibre optic cable directly into the office. From signing up to connection the whole process only took a couple of weeks as Wessex Internet’s services were already within the area. The installation team where able to deliver the service quickly and efficiently with no challenges arising.
The Results
Taking the Business Fibre Starter package, Ellis Campbell now receive download speeds of up to 100Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps and are now able to work quickly and efficiently. Staff do not have to waste time waiting for downloads, they are instantaneous.
“The support team based at Ranston are great. If they cannot answer a question immediately; they come back to you as soon as they can. Our way of working has changed beyond recognition.” Sarah Kirby – Ellis Campbell
